WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for the latter due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrades upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item upgrading will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the item upgrader kit being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of The button will display the item upgrading's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level upgrade (Click In this article) level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them properly. It's best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
