WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade item increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

upgrade item costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific item level upgrade (Recommended Looking at) level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that same item level will cost less even if they belong to another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade items their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
