Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They are purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an The button will display the item level Upgrade's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current Best item upgrade level. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item upgrades has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain the latest recipe. Crests

They are available in four ranks.

Another notable change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly.
