Following a series of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. It's called Space Key and developed in collaboration with an unknown artist and built on a piece of advanced carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The one-of-a-kind NFT is a tangible item that has a link to exclusive digital artwork, accessible via a QR code on the back. The project is limited to five pieces and will be auctioned off in the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini smuggled to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of an investigation project. After returning to earth the carbon fiber was crafted into this distinctive artwork. The physical component includes an NFT serial code that links to the digital art work via a QR code on the back.

After several weeks of social media posts hinting at it, luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has finally revealed its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. It's called the Space Key, it consists of five physical items that unlock an exclusive digital artwork NFT created by an artist yet to be identified. The "collectors' piece" was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to five units. It will be auctioned off soon.

At the heart of each Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth, it was made into a QR code, which connects it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of the five images was taken by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon equipped with a camera to take each of the individual shots, which were later merged into the final image. The result is an amazing out of the world photograph that captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic image of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, however the exact date and location of the auction hasn't been confirmed yet.
