World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

upgrade Item components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what can be improved upon the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item level upgrade will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item upgrader kit could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than standard gear. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
