World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable Best item upgrader has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrade an item the original item will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an Item upgrader (menwiki.men) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade item a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item upgrades definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs that are listed above.
