This Roomba is one of the most highly rated vacuums on the market. It is the most powerful AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've tested. It also comes with mopping features with dual rubber brushes, which are less likely to get caught than bristle brushes.

It uses random navigation (or bumps) instead of vSLAM. This takes longer, but ensures that each room is kept clean. It also has an impressive battery life and works effectively on both carpet and hardwood floors.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO has a stylish matte gray finish on its top that resembles fabric and helps reduce fingerprints. Its smart mapping technology uses advanced sensors to create a map of your house that allows it to clean by rooms and avoid obstacles. The iRobot App lets you alter your cleaning habits and get suggestions based on the season the home, the weather, and even your personal preferences. (For instance it could suggest running it more often during the season of allergies). The high-efficiency filter of the robot can trap 99 percent of allergens including mold, dust mites hair from cats and dogs, and pollen. It also comes with edge-sweeping and cliff sensors, four brushes (including two long, multi-surface brushes as well as one side brush) and floor trackers to keep the robot on its intended path.

In our tests, the i3+ EVO was able to clean our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily switch from carpet to rugs and back and had much trouble navigating over the metal or wooden trim that separates different types of flooring. However, it did run into a few items like shoes, handbags and toys, but was able to maneuver around them. It also missed a few areas of dirt on our carpeting, though it was able to pick up pet hair in other places.

While it is a good option for homes with carpets however, the i3+ EVO isn't as effective as the competition when it comes to collecting crumbs and larger debris. It's not able to clean pet hair off carpets and might not be the best Rated roomba vacuum choice for those looking to replace their vacuum cleaner with an automated. Additionally, it isn't equipped with the superior obstacle avoidance of the premium Roombas like the J7+ and S9+, which could make it more likely to run into pet waste and smear it across floors.

2. Roomba J7+

This is among the top robot vacuums designed for those who have a mix of hard carpet and hard. Its most distinctive feature is its obstacle detection, which cleverly avoids cords, furniture legs, and even pet debris. It's also great at cleaning hard floors and also picking up hairs that are stuck in the brush.

The Roomba J7+ is unlike many other robots in that it can adjust its suction strength. This is possible through the app. It also comes with an excellent map editor and a section to save your favorite maps. The j7+ is quite quiet, particularly when you have a higher-end flooring option and it does a great job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

The higher-end bots from iRobot are known to perform better than their lower-end counterparts. In our tests, we discovered that the J7+ could remove more dirt from carpeted and hard surfaces, and also did better in crevices. The only problem was that it performed less well in the longer test for human hair, which is common with all robots.

The j7+ has an auto-emptying Clean Base that automatically transfers dirt from the robot's bin to an enclosed dirt bag each time it docks. That reduces hands-on maintenance requirements and is a real boon for those who suffer from allergies. The j7+ can also be linked with IRobot's Braava Jet M-Series mop robot via its Imprint Link function and will then automatically restart mopping once the vacuuming is finished.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is an interesting machine to observe. It follows a pattern similar to the way a lawn-care professional trims the sports field before an event. It will often return to the dock to empty its bin or charge its batteries. This feature, which lets the vacuum to empty itself, is a wonderful addition and reduces the requirement for manual maintenance.

It has a strong suction, which enables it to effortlessly remove pet hair and dirt. It is able to pick up the majority of debris on carpets with a high pile in just one pass. It's also able to find areas with high traffic and spend more time in those places. This is especially helpful when you have children and pets that often bring large amounts of debris from the outside.

Another great feature is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to learn the arrangement of your home and create an adjustable floor map while it vacuums. After four one-hour sessions the i7+ was able navigate my two-bedroom flat logically and efficiently. The app lets you further customize the mapping by adding virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. This means you can schedule the i7+ to sweep around the cat's litter box every morning, or stay clear of the sofa in the living area after everyone has gone to go to bed.

The i7+ comes equipped with a side brush and a tangle-free squeegee that spins that are both great for picking up debris that might otherwise be left on the ground. It also has a battery with Recharge and Resume technology, meaning it will pick up exactly where it left off on an earlier cleaning session if you let it charge up.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a great entry-level robot for anyone looking to keep their home clean and without the advanced automation features that the higher-end models have. It will learn about your habits in cleaning and recommend cleaning schedules. It also integrates with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants, so you can start a cleaning session simply by giving it a command.

The dual multi-surface brushes pick dirt from carpets and hard floors, while an edge-sweeping brush takes care of edges and corners. The battery lasts for approximately 90 minutes on a single charge and when it is low, it docks itself to the Home Base and recharges.

A large Clean/Power button lies in the middle of the top panel with Home and Spot buttons to the left and right. The indicator for battery level is lit in orange when charging and turns green when the robot is running. The dustbin slides into the robot's back, and then it can be released by pressing the button.

The Roomba 694 is a fantastic job at navigating floors with no carpet and is able to remove large debris like rice and cereal, but it isn't as adept at handling fine particles like baking soda, and can overflow the dirt compartment as it fills up. It doesn't do better on carpets with low pile, but it still gets a better score than most other robot vacuums in this price range.

It is extremely effective in picking up hairs from pets. However, some hairs might get caught on the side brush. Its poor performance on kitty-litter is also a cause for concern, even though it still scored as high as other robots in this category. It beat our top choice (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 costs a little more than the eufy RoboVac 30, but is more durable, requires less maintenance, has lower costs for recurring use, charges quicker and is more effective on floors with high-piles and bare floors. It comes with a bigger bin and is able to be used without internet connectivity.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is one of the most affordable robot vacuums on the market and is a great choice if you're looking for an easy-to-use and reliable machine. This model is able to remove pet hair and other debris effectively on carpets that are hard and low-pile, and it does well in moving around obstacles and furniture. Its slim profile is ideal for reaching underneath low-clearance couches or coffee tables and other furniture, and it's one of the quietest robovacs that we've tried.

This is the simplest model we've seen. It doesn't have features that are available in more expensive models. It doesn't have an app so you will need to set the schedule manually by using the remote control. It doesn't have a battery level or dust bin alert. You'll have to manually empty the dustbin when necessary.

This model is robust and is easy to maintain despite its cost. It also has a lengthy maximum battery life and offers decent performance on bare floors and when maneuvering around obstacles. In our tests it was able to overcome obstacles with low levels, such as electrical cords better than the Roomba 694 and Shark Ion robots, but it had trouble with high-pile carpets.

The eufy is an excellent alternative to the ONSON GOOVI. However, we recommend a more expensive model when you can afford it. The iRobot Roomba 694 is easier to maintain, incurs lower cost of maintenance, and has longer battery life. It also performs better on unfinished floors as well as when maneuvering around furniture, and comes with a much larger dustbin.
