3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

The SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great option for those who want a powerful vacuum that also mop. The small size of this robot allows it to reach areas that larger robots aren't able to, such as corners and under furniture. It also has a sophisticated LiDAR sensor that is able to detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During testing during testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently vacuumed dust, pet hair, crumbs and other debris from our carpets and hardwood flooring. This unique shape also helps it reach corners and along edges with ease. It can still create dust in these areas if you don't spin the corner brush fast enough. However its powerful motor compensates for it.

In the tests conducted by iRobot in the lab, the S9+ picked up kitty-litter and pet hair easily. It also did exceptionally well on hard floors, as it used its powerful motor to push through most types of debris and clean the edges and corners with ease. Its vSLAM-based advanced technology and Imprint Smart Mapping technology also made it one of the most efficient navigators we've ever tested, with an unshakeable grasp of its floorspace that can even find its way under beds or sofas with draped valances over them.

The iRobot App is easy to set up and operate. You can select which functions you want to activate in the initial set up process or wait until you've got a better feel for the way it functions. There's also a carpet Suction Boost' feature that boosts suction when the robot is on carpets.

You can control the S8 with one button that can be used as a general 'Clean button, or a "Spot Clean' button to direct the bot to that area. It is also possible to press the 'Dock/Home' button to return the robot to its home base. The app is simple to use and has a surprising number of features. The only issue with the S8 is that its battery doesn't last as long as it should allow for, with only 130 minutes of use when I left it on its normal settings with both mopping and vacuuming enabled. It's still an impressive amount of time and enough to thoroughly clean my home.
