Another nice feature is the option to select between two different cleaning intensities. There's a Eco mode that operates the vacuum in a quiet manner and extends the time of run, whereas Turbo mode provides an even more powerful clean. However Turbo mode operates at an antisocial volume, which can be a problem if you're running the D7 while you're working or watching television.

The D7 is one of the few robots that are capable of creating and storing multiple floor plans. This is perfect for multi-level houses. It also has a rapid boost feature that allows it to return to its base and recharge before continuing cleaning. This is particularly useful when you're cleaning difficult areas. Neato's mobile app is easy-to-use and regularly updated with new features. For the price, this is one of the best robots for carpets with thick hair on the market.

2. Eufy RoboVac 11S

The Eufy 11S, like the Neato D7 is sleek and low-profile. This makes it possible to get under beds, couches, and coffee tables more easily than other robot vacuums. It also comes with some innovations that help it effectively clean and go exactly where you want it to go, like no-go lines you can draw on its virtual maps to stop the robot from cleaning sensitive areas like pet bowls and beds. It also comes with an auto-recharge feature and resume, in the event that it runs out of battery before it has finished cleaning, it will return to its base, charge it, and then restart where it was when it left.

In our tests, the RoboVac 11S performed better than its predecessor, eufy RoboVac 30C. It also performed better than ILIFE A4s, bObsweep Bob Pro, and the ILIFE a4s. The dirt compartment is bigger and it has a longer maximum battery life, and it removes more debris from bare floors to carpets that are high and low-pile. It is also built better, easier to maintain, incurs fewer recurring costs and can maneuver itself more efficiently.

Roborock S7 robot vacuum is an excellent value. It boasts impressive technology capabilities. The mid-priced model works as well as many high-end models and is easy to use and maintain. It also comes with a broad variety of high-end features that are similar to the capabilities of robots with twice the cost. This makes it a good pick for a first-time buyer or someone who wants to upgrade from a basic model, or anyone who wants to cut down on time and effort when cleaning their home.

This robot is as in its element on floor surfaces that it is on carpet. Its suction strength of 2,000Pa is sufficient to take on heavy-soiled carpets that are thick and densely soiled. It can even remove pet hair in crevices and cracks in bare floors. It's well built, maneuvers effortlessly, and can be operated using voice commands from Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to allow hands-free operation. Its battery is smaller than some of the other models we've tested, however, it has plenty of juice for most homes.

The S7 is also a fantastic mopping robot. It comes with a 200ml tank filled with water as well as a mopping pad that can be easily connected to the robot's back. It's built well and comes with an array of navigational features. It's also easy to maintain. However it has a lower capacity battery than other models and has higher recurring costs.

The Q5 is among the most slow robots we have tested, however, its layout algorithm is reliable and doesn't need any extra attention after its first run through an area. It begins by tracing a perimeter and then fills in the interior with parallel lines. Once the job is done, it returns to the charging station if it was away from base.

It was a master of cleaning hardwood floors, sucking at minimum 88% dirt from each test. It had a little more trouble on carpets with high and low piles however, it was better than the standard unit. It also has mopping attachments to clean up wet spills. We didn't test it.

Its mobility, which is more than the norm for lidar robots is that it can bump into furniture or other obstacles with a gentle bump.
