irobot vacuum cleaner's latest Combo j7+ robot is the first combination vacuum/mop. It's similar to the Roomba, and has similar rug-avoiding capabilities. However the mop is able to be used with a greater range of cleaning solutions and are self-filling.

A little robot arm emerges from the base when you command it to mop with the iRobot Home app or voice assistant. The robot will only deploy the mops when it is aware of a hard surface. They do not drag over rugs and carpet.

A robot vacuum mop combo is a great tool to keep floors tidy and free of clutter, without relying on a broom and a Swiffer. It is able to remove sticky messes, and keep grime away. The J7 Combo+ is cheaper than other robot vacuum and mop combos, but it's expensive for a basic device. It's got a limited battery life and a water tank, so it needs to return to its dock and recharge between every cleaning session. It is also necessary to manually move the machine to a new room for each cleaning session. Its small size and the absence of an option to schedule it means that it is able to only clean 200 square feet.

Cleaning Performance

The j7+ is a sleek modern-looking, contemporary-looking vacuum-mop. It looks almost identical to Roomba's i7 vacuum. However, it does lack certain key features that other mop-only bots do. It doesn't offer the same powerful suction as iRobot vacuums. Also, it doesn't have an automatic washing feature for mop pads, something that is becoming more common on mop robots with premium features. But, you can purchase an add-on for the j7+ to wash the mop pad when you're not using it. This will stop the pads from drying out and becoming dirty.
