This Roomba is considered to be one of the top vacuums on the market. It is the most powerful AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've ever tested. It also comes with a mopping mechanism with dual rubber brushes, which are less likely to get caught than bristle brushes.

It uses random (or bump) navigation rather than vSLAM, which can take longer to Effortlessly Clean and Mop with iRobot Roomba i5; see this site, but ensures every room is covered. It also has a long battery life and works effectively on both carpet and hardwood flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EV

The i3+ EVO is finished with a fashionable matte grey finish that looks like fabric. This reduces fingerprints. Smart mapping technology creates a map of your home using advanced sensors. This helps it keep rooms clean and stay clear of obstacles. The iRobot App allows you to modify your cleaning preferences and receive recommendations based on the seasons, your home, and even your personal preferences. (For example, it may recommend that you use it more frequently during the season of allergies). The robot's high-efficiency filter traps 99 percent of allergens, such as dust mites, mold, dog and cat hair, and pollen. It also has cliff and edge-sweeping sensors and four brushes (including two long, multi-surface brushes as well as one side brush) and floor trackers to keep the robot on its intended path.

During our testing during our testing, the i3+ EVO was able to clean our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily switch from carpet to rugs and back again, and it didn't have much trouble going over the wooden or metal trim that separates different flooring types. However, it did bump into a few objects, such as shoes, bags, and handbags as well as pet toys, but it was able to maneuver around them. It also missed a few areas of dirt on our carpet however it was able to collect hairs from other areas.

The i3+ EVO is a great choice for homes with carpeting, but falls short when it comes to removing crumbs and larger debris. It isn't able to clean pet hair off carpets and could not be the best choice for those who want their robot to completely replace their vacuum cleaner. It's also not as powerful obstacles-avoidance capabilities of the top Roombas such as the j7+ or s9+, which can make it more likely to get into pet waste on floors and spread it out.

2. Roomba J7+

This is a great robot vacuum for people who have a mixture of carpet and hard floors. Its most distinctive feature is its obstacle detection, which cleverly eliminates furniture legs, cords and pet waste. It's also great at cleaning hard floors, and also picking up hairs that are stuck in the brush.

In contrast to other robots, the Roomba J7+ is able to adjust its suction power. This is done via the app. It also comes with an excellent map editor and a section to save your favorite maps. The j7+ is very quiet, particularly when it comes to more expensive flooring options. It is able to keep up with manual vacuuming.

As is customary, latest irobot roomba's top-of-the-line bots tend to have better cleaning performance than the lower-end models. In our tests, the j7+ managed to pick up more debris on both hard and carpeted surfaces than the 694 and also was more efficient in crevices. The only issue was that it did not perform as well in the longer test for human hair, which is common with all robots.

The j7+ has an auto-emptying Clean Base that will automatically transfer dirt from the robot's bin into an enclosed dirt bag each time it docks. This helps reduce the need to be hands-on and is a real boon for anyone with allergies. The j7+ is also able to be connected to the iRobot Braava Jet M-Series mop robot via its Imprint Link feature and will resume mopping when the vacuuming is finished.

3. Roomba i7+

Watching the i7+ clean the room is an amazing experience. It follows a pattern that is similar to the way a lawn-care professional trims a sports field prior to an event. Occasionally, it will return to its dock to empty its dust bin or recharge its batteries. Self-emptying is a welcome change to the way robot vacuums work, and also reduces the need for hands-on maintenance.

It has a strong suction, which allows it to easily remove dirt and pet hair. Even on carpets with high pile it is able to pick up most debris with a single pass. It can also detect areas with a lot of traffic and then spend more time there. This is especially helpful if your children and pets bring in large amounts of debris from the outside.

Smart Mapping is another great feature. It lets the i7+ learn the layout of your home and create a floor map that you can customize while it vacuums. After four one-hour sessions, the i7+ could navigate my two-bedroom home efficiently and logically. The app allows you to modify the map by adding virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. You can set the i7+ up to clean the area around the cat's kitty litter tray every morning, or to stay clear of the sofa in the living area after everyone has gone home.

The i7+ also comes with a sidebrush and an squeegee that is free of tangles that are great for removing any debris that might otherwise fall to the ground. It also has a battery that has Recharge and Resume Technology that allows it to pick up the same place it left off during a previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a great entry-level robot that can make your home cleaner but without the advanced features of more expensive models. It will learn about your cleaning habits and recommend cleaning schedules. It also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants so you can begin a cleaning session simply by giving it a command.

The dual multi-surface brushes remove dirt from carpet and hard floors and the edge-sweeping one cleans edges and corners. The battery can run for around 90 minutes on a single charge and when it runs low it docks itself to the Home Base and recharges.

The top panel features the Clean/Power button, which is large in the middle, along with the Home and Spot buttons to the left and right. The indicator for battery level is lit in orange when charging and turns green when the robot is running. The dustbin slots in at the back and releases when you press the button.

The Roomba 694 is a fantastic job of navigating bare floors and is able to remove large debris like rice and cereal, but it isn't as adept at handling fine particles like baking soda. It also tends to overflow the dirt container as it fills up. It doesn't do well on carpets with low pile but it still scores higher scores than other robot vacuums at this price.

It does a great job collecting pet hair, but some hair strands could get wrapped around the side brush. Its inability to handle kitty litter is also a cause of concern, despite the fact that it still scored as high as other robots in this class. It beat our top pick (the Roborock S4 Max), by 19 points. The 694 is more expensive than the RoboVac 30C, however it feels more robust, has fewer maintenance requirements and has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly, can maneuver over obstructions without difficulty and performs better on floors that are unfinished and high-pile carpet. It also has a larger dustbin, and it can be used even without internet access.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is one of the cheapest robot vacuums available and is a great pick if you need a simple and reliable machine. This model can remove dust, pet hair, and other debris on both low-pile and hard floors. It also does a great job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim design is perfect for reaching underneath low-clearance couches, coffee tables, and other furniture, and it's also one of the quietest robot vacuums we've test-driven.

But that's all it is - this is one of the simplest models we've seen, and it's lacking some features found on more expensive models. For instance, it doesn't work via an app, which means you'll need to set the schedule using the remote control. It also doesn't provide a battery-level or dust bin alert, so you'll have to keep an eye on its condition and empty it when needed.

Despite its price, this model is still extremely well-constructed and easy to maintain. It also has a long maximum battery life and offers good performance on floors that are bare and when maneuvering around obstacles. In our tests it was able to climb over low-lying obstacles like electrical cords with greater ease than the Roomba 694 or Shark Ion robots, but it had issues with high-pile carpets.

The eufy is a better alternative to the ONSON GOOVI, however we recommend a more expensive model If you're able to afford it. The iRobot Roomba 694 is easier to maintain, incurs lower cost of maintenance, and has longer battery life. It's also more efficient in cleaning floors that are not clean, maneuvering around furniture and has a larger dustbin.
