It also performed well in CR's cleaning tests and comes with a self emptying station. Ecovacs Deebot OZMO Omni is another option that does a good job both on carpet and hard flooring.

iLife V3S pro

The V3s Pro is the least expensive robot we've tested, however it still put up an impressive performance in suction tests. It also has a long running time and smart features, like cliff sensors that keep the device from falling down a flight of stairs or scratching furniture legs. It utilizes a map feature to mark out areas that don't need to be cleaned, which could save your time and money over the long term by eliminating unnecessary cleaning.

The V3S Pro excelled on the pet hair test, capturing all of it without hairs that were tangled or debris left behind. This makes it an excellent option for pet owners who have carpets or hard surfaces. It also performed very well in the dirt and crumbs test, picking up all of the dirt and crumbs we dropped on the floor with no struggle. It also scored well on the obstacle tests, navigating around the furniture and power cords we placed in its path.

It comes with a large dirt bin that can be controlled remotely using the iRobot HOME app, compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri for voice control. It also has physical controls, too as a Dual Virtual Barrier that allows you to mark areas where the robot shouldn't be able to go in order to protect things like pet bowls and furniture.

Its smart mapping, room-by-room navigation, and semi-random navigation are more efficient than the majority of robots that compete with it. This lets it cover a larger space per cleaning job. The high-performance filters stop dust and other allergens from getting back into the air during the process which is great for allergy sufferers.

The Roomba i4+ EVO was among the best-performing vacuums we tested in collecting crumbs from our test kitchen floor and removing coffee grounds from medium-pile carpet. Thankfully, this issue isn't a major issue for the majority of people. The Q5+ is an excellent choice for those who primarily use the robot to clean their carpets as it has plenty of other features that combat this issue. It comes with three modes: an energy-efficient "Quiet" mode that helps to save battery life, an initial "Balanced" mode which is great for hard surfaces, but may be slowed by pet hair or dust on carpets, and a powerful "Max" mode for large debris. The app also lets you set specific times for the robot's operation -- a wonderful feature that many other robots lack -- and it also has a multi-story memory that lets it remember different parts of your home even when you move furniture around.

The Roborock is also simple to maintain. The auto-emptying container of the Roborock can hold a lot of trash and will remain at the bottom of the charging station when it has been completely empty. This means that you won't have to empty it as often as other robotic vacuums. The only drawback is that the self-emptying dock Pure comes in two pieces and requires a screwdriver for assembly it, but it should be fairly simple for the majority of users.

Eufy RoboVac 11S Max

The 11S Max is a good robot carpet washer vacuum for newbies and technophobes looking for an easy daily clean-up. It's also quiet - in fact, it doesn't listen to the sound of music or TV while it's working. It's easy to set up this robot to clean each day. Press the button on the top of the unit to start the unit, then use the remote control to set the time.

It isn't able to deal with low-pile carpets and its small storage compartment is easily clogged by hair. The brushes on the back are smaller than the ones found in other robot vacuums, and I've experienced them get tangled in my long hair on numerous occasions. The 11S Max is a little slower than its competitors, and is not as accurate when laying out the floor plan.

If you're seeking an option that is more flexible, the eufy RoboVac 11S is able to remove pet hair more effectively on different surfaces than the ILIFE. It also has a longer battery life, more advanced navigation system and lower monthly costs. It's also easier to maintain than the Shark ION Robot AV753 Series however, that model comes with a better companion app and better performance on high-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dirt compartment, though it's not as adept in dealing with large debris like cereal boxes. The bObsweep Bob Pro is similarly more powerful than the ILIFE a4s however it's more durable and has lower monthly costs.
