The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet They are also adept in cleaning dog hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

However, it's a good choice, especially if you want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a bare-floored home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. 2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles like pet hair. It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. 3. iRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that appears more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competitors. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums uk vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features such as enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it has an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a problem in the mornings prior to work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it will cost you more and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and washes and drys mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its competitors with premium features. It also comes with a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time, although this wasn't quite reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and also adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house according to the degree of dirt they are.

If you have a bigger home, you should consider selecting a model with a spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice command. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have large furniture. Also, a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through an initial mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or to organize an automatic vacuum and mop spot-clean. It can also be used to it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app also gives access to a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
