However, they do have a few flaws however, which hinder them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has self-emptying docks, however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of just a few seconds.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum that mops vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy units of the rivals. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to the combination of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to set up the spot-cleaning. It can also be used to it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for greater efficiency. The app also gives access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
